Launch of “BYSAKUU”, a project to propose tea with the theme of communication

Posted onJun 4th, 2021

BYSAKUU was released from the Japanese tea cafe in JINNAN HOUSE, Tokyo. The name of the project is based on the word SAKUU, meaning BYSA (selling tea) + KUU (sky = spreading, open). In this project, the theme of “communication” and “tea leaves” will be visually expressed and delivered with various artists.

This project was born from the desire to create an opportunity to connect the current fragmented communication through “tea”.
The basic product is tea leaves and a white T-shirt. For people who have never had tea leaves in their daily lives, we propose a way to communicate through a cup of tea. Also, through collaborations with artists, we are trying to make the interest and understanding of tea more accessible. The tea leaves are produced in Hirakata, Osaka.
The tea leaves are blended by Masanori Tada of Tada Seicha based in Hirakata, Osaka, inspired by the works of each artist.
