NTT DOCOMO, INC. (DOCOMO) and Nature Corporation (Nature) have agreed to collaborate on Demand Response,for DOCOMO Denki, an electricity service provided by DOCOMO.
The two companies will collaborate to realize new energy management, including Demand Response, in order to promote carbon neutrality and to address the electricity supply shortage that is expected to continue.
Demand response is a mechanism to adjust the balance between supply and demand of electricity by controlling electricity demand in response to electricity supply. By realizing Demand Response, customers who use electricity will be able to contribute to the adjustment of electricity supply and demand, which will also lead to cut down electricity bill by saving energy.
