Brain Sleep and Ota Center for Sleep Science begin joint research on “SAS risk assessment using AI diagnostic imaging”.

Brain Sleep, Inc. will strengthen its collaboration with sleep specialists in order to promote the resolution of sleep issues among Japanese people. As a first step, BrainSleep Inc. and the Ota Sleep Science Center, which boasts one of the largest numbers of SAS cases in Japan, will begin joint research on the construction of an algorithm to determine the risk of sleep apnea syndrome (SAS) using AI diagnostic imaging.

Through this joint research, we aim to focus on “skeletal structure” in addition to “obesity” as a risk factor for SAS and propose AI diagnostic imaging using facial photos taken with smartphones and other devices, thereby helping to provide appropriate treatment for SAS.

Through this project, BrainSleep Inc. and the Ota Sleep Science Center aims to help solve Japan’s sleep issues by raising awareness of SAS.
