The SHIBUYA CREATIVE TECH Executive Committee, in collaboration with Shibuya City, held “DIG SHIBUYA 2025”—an event that transformed the streets of Shibuya with art and technology—from Saturday, February 8 to Tuesday (Holiday), February 11, 2025, within a 15-minute walking radius centered around Shibuya’s Koen-dori (Park Street).
The event featured 33 unique programs, including a large-scale installation titled “Pineapple Scramble” by artist Ryuichi Ohira, created amid traffic restrictions on Koen-dori; one of Japan’s largest drone shows using 2,200 drones; and the “RADIO SAKAMOTO Uday – New Context Fes × DIG SHIBUYA” music festival—a tribute to Ryuichi Sakamoto.
These experiences allowed the 454,000 visitors to explore new forms of art and technology throughout the streets of Shibuya.
