Joint Study by 100plus, BREATHER, and Brain Sleep Conducted! Confirming That Deep Breathing Maximizes the Benefits of Sauna

Brain Sleep Co., Ltd., in collaboration with BREATHER Inc. and 100plus Inc., conducted a study on sauna and breathing.

The results of the study indicated that consciously incorporating deep breathing can help more efficiently switch the autonomic nervous system during sauna bathing, potentially contributing to a deeper state of relaxation known as “totonou.”

This study suggested that improving breathing techniques can streamline the switching of the autonomic nervous system during sauna bathing, reduce the physical burden on the body, enhance relaxation, and help individuals achieve a deeper state of “totonou.”
Additionally, incorporating deep breathing resulted in shorter stay times in both the sauna and rest areas compared to usual.
This points to practical benefits, such as more efficient use of sauna facilities, improved turnover rates, and greater user satisfaction.
