The first step to better sleep is accurately understanding your sleep state! Over half underestimate their actual sleep duration

Brain Sleep Inc. is emphasizing the importance of “sleep measurement” to help individuals accurately recognize their own sleep condition, as part of addressing sleep-related issues in Japan.
According to the “Sleep Deviation Survey 2025,” more than half of working individuals perceive their sleep duration to be shorter than it actually is.

Factors contributing to this “misperception of sleep state” include daytime stress, lifestyle habits, the use of electronic devices such as smartphones, and the sleep environment. Furthermore, when sleep quality declines, people often do not feel adequately rested even if they have secured a long sleep duration.

Against this backdrop, sleep issues in Japan are seen not merely as a matter of ensuring enough sleep time, but also as requiring improvements in sleep quality. To achieve this, it is considered essential to first correctly understand and grasp one’s own sleep condition.
